Open your EC Remote App and go to Home screen → Settings → Library → Add source. The device will scan your local network for shared content. A Window with the list of recognized devices will appear. Select the device where your shared digital media files are located on. Within a few moments you should see all the shared media files/folders you have on that device. If no sources were found, even if there are certain shared sources in your network, please give it another try. Press cancel before starting the scanning one more time. Long- tap on the File/Folder you want to add to library. A small confirmation message will appear. Please tap OK. The new folder name should now appear under “Add source” section in Library and the EC Living will start to add all media content of that folder to its library. Depending on the amount and size of the added media content this might take from seconds to several hours. A flashing LED on top off EC Living Model 1 will indicate this process. During that process the EC Living might respond slower than usually.
To access the songs you just added to your library go to Home screen → Music and find the album or track of your choice.
To make sure the content you are going to share is accessible by EC Living devices, Windows users should do the following: On your computer/tablet go to Control Panel → Network and Sharing Center → Advanced sharing settings. Scroll down to the very bottom, click or tap All Networks, scroll all the way down again, and make sure Password protected sharing is Turned off: Then, all you have to do, is to share your media files / folders with your Home Network.
